MV emulator released
Data General MV users may now directly run their programs on Windows, Linux, AIX and other modern platforms with the eMV product.  Users typically run AOS/VS, AOS/VS II, MV/RDOS or AOS/DVS or even proprietary operating systems, and all of the DG languages are supported, such as Fortran IV, Fortran 5, Fortran 77, DG/L, COBOL, ICOBOL, Extended BASIC, Business BASIC, APL, Lisp, RPG, PL/1, and many others.

Updated DG doc list The DG documentation archive list has been updated to reflect recent preservation efforts.
ECLIX software We are trying to obtain any documentation and/or software for the IPT ECLIX UNIX Version 7 based software for the 16-bit Eclipse systems.
MBC/M software We are trying to obtain any documentation and/or software for the DG MBC/M microNova  dedicated operating system.
MICOS software We are trying to obtain further  documentation and/or software for the MICOS timesharing system from Minicomputer Systems in New York.  Please contact us at MICOS@SimuLogics.com if you have any information regarding these systems.  Note that we have just received some docs from Madison Spring Company.
Vendors release software A growing number of software vendors are releasing software for educational and non-commercial use on Nova hardware and emulation software.  These vendors are to be commended for their help in preserving the Nova, Eclipse and MV history for future generations.
Finnigan MAT systems New optional features are now available for reNOVAte/Plus to run Finnigan MAT IDOS, IDOS II, IDOS III, INCOS and SuperINCOS software on open systems.  Now users may access legacy data, transfer data to and run IDOS/INCOS/MSDS under open systems.  Contact SimuLogics for further information concerning these exciting new legacy-enhancing features.
Custom hardware access A new product is now available to allow reNOVAte/Plus to directly access custom user hardware I/O interfaces.  Now applications running on open system PCs may use current custom DG controllers in special applications without change.  Contact SimuLogics for further information concerning this hardware-enhancing feature.
Point 4 archives Point 4 corporation has engaged SimuLogics to archive all remaining Point 4 software and documentation.  This support reflects the official corporate appreciation of the importance of preserving this part of computing history.  Documentation and software archiving shall occur after the initial inventory and cataloging is completed, and the Point 4 web pages will be updated accordingly.

The new Point 4 document list is now available in the Point 4 archive section.

MV system summaries A new MV system summary section has been started!  MVs are forever.
Desktop Generation The Desktop Generation systems now have their own dedicated web page.
Museum Project The "Working DG Museum" Project is officially announced - to restore and maintain life in legacy Data General hardware and software.
NADGUG library online The contents of the entire NADGUG software library is now available on-line for downloading.  Individual sections or the entire library may be selected at this expanded web area.
F.I.G. Forth found We have obtained a copy of the Forth Interest Group's FORTH language system for the Nova and have added it to the software archives.
Ex-DG employee? Did you work for or with Data General?  Then you may be eligible to join the "Grey Eagles" - the organization for ex-DG folks.
Stupid AOS/VS tricks? This clever web site will remind you that you are not alone in the AOS/VS universe - even if it feels that way sometimes.  Robert de Mander proves that not all demented DGers are in North America, and his web site has many great tutorials, hints and other items worth visiting..
Wicat documentation Wicat's MCS and the Hare Brain operating system and 'C' language documents have been added to the list of manuals now archived.
Bit documentation A little known company from Natick had some interesting multi-byte machines in the late '60s and early '70s.  A new archive page has been started for these systems.
Bytronix documentation A new archive page has been added for these DG look-alike systems.
Updated documentation Significant listing updates for Data General, DCC, DEC and Point 4 [EDS] documentation has been made at their corresponding archive pages.
DG company startup The official news release for the new DG corporation has been added.
DCC lawsuit added Additional information concerning the DCC lawsuit has been added.
New DG ad section A new section is now dedicated to preserving some of the Data General ads from the late 1960s and the early 1970s.  Which ones do you remember?
MV section started We are starting a new section dedicated to the MV series, and some comparison charts are the first items to be posted....
DG hardware on PCs? SimuLogics is creating hardware that would allow reNOVAte to directly use DG I/O hardware controllers. This would mean that current legacy custom hardware could be used by PCs to help migrate applications to more modern hardware.

The unprecedented hardware, maintenance, software and business alternatives this would provide makes this an extremely interesting project.

NADGUG ceases operation. NADGUG - the largest Data General User's Group - officially dissolved on October, 2001.

SimuLogics will host much of the NADGUG information in a dedicate area of this web site.

SimuLogics showed reNOVAte/J - a free, full-functioning Nova emulator written entirely in Java as a tribute to the last 32+ years of Nova influence.

Legacy users access modern features. Legacy Nova and Eclipse programs may now access the files, command line and features of the underlying supporting operating system with the new Native System Interface for reNOVAte/Plus.
ICOS II and ICOS III Finnigan's legacy MAT system software now runs on open systems with reNOVAte/Plus.  This lets  ICOS II and ICOS III files be directly manipulated, transferred, archived, all on open system platforms.
MP/OS 3.1 DG's MP/OS version 3.1 has how been tested with reNOVAte.
TCP/IP access module DG serial interfaces may be now transparently accessed via TCP/IP lines with this new reNOVAte/Plus option.  This will allow TTI/TTO, TTI1/TTO1, ALM, ULM, and USAM devices to control terminals over any type of network and do other neat "client/server" stuff.  ...All without changing a single byte of Nova code!
Nanos 2.60 Nanos 2.60 has how been tested with reNOVAte.  Both the Nova 4/X and Eclipse S/140 versions of Nanos are now officially supported.  Could DiscOS be far behind?  [Thanks, Ira.]
MP/AOS MP/AOS rev 1.30 and 2.00 have been tested with reNOVAte.  Yet another under-rated proprietary operating system environment now runs on open systems.

Bytronix B5000 EIS Support has been added for many of the proprietary Extended Instruction Set features available on the Bytronix 5000-series computers, including stack, block move and arithmetic features.
