SimuLogics provides the software, service and experience to make legacy Data General Nova, Eclipse, Desktop Generation, 16-bit MV/Eclipse, Point 4, Bytronix, Strobe Data Swift, Falcon and Hawk, Elta EL/S-8661E, military UYK-19, UYK-64(V) and other Nova-compatible applications run on any popular open system.

Our reNOVAte software directly runs programs from these 16-bit Nova, Eclipse and MV/Eclipse-compatible systems - ranging from mainstream business applications to classified embedded military software - on open systems with no reprogramming.  This means that RDOS, DG/RDOS, AOS, MP/AOS, AOS/WS, BITS, IRIS, BLIS/COBOL, MICOS and special-purpose custom and proprietary 16-bit programs may now be directly run on modern platforms without program changes.

We integrate the full features of the new target open system into an extension of the original legacy environment, providing new capabilities and growth potential not previously possible.

We can also combine our 30-year Data General history, our extensive open system experience and our products into cost-effective guaranteed custom solutions.

How We Do It

reNOVAte is the software product that creates a Nova- or Eclipse- compatible environment on the desired new system.

It emulates either a higher-level, RDOS environment or a low-level hardware environment as determined by the requirements of the original legacy application.  Non-standard hardware can even be emulated by adding custom drivers as required to the reNOVAte product.
